Mrs. Boost Addict [Cloverworks] has been really calling upon her Scottish ancestry to milk the 2.7tt for all it’s worth.
Remember, this is a Super Cab 4x4 with the payload package and 3.73:1 axles
She’s gotten quite good at it.

I got 20.5 in my four-cylinder RAV4.

I’ve never seen above 24mpg with mine, but that also has to do with 80mph speed limits and never being shy with fun pedal. How do you like the 10 speed auto?

How does the 10spd feel in practice? It looks like it must shift quite a bit based on how close the ratios are according to wikipedia.

Now what does it actually get when checking the old fashion way?

When it doesnt need all the ratios it skips several at a time. A typical unhurried acceleration run goes 1-3-6-8-9-10. It will noodle around at 8/9/10 at cruising speed to keep the speed stable without changing throttle positions. In general it’s really quick, smooth and unobtrusive. It’s not so much that it’s always changing ratios, as it just always seems to have the right ratio for the conditions. Flooring it from cruising it will drop all the way from 10 to 4/5 in one move and can chirp the tires.

Hypermiling a truck is the best.

We’ve never checked after one of these hypermile sessions, but it’s been pretty close over full tanks (averaging about 22 total-my lead foot kills it)

I picked up a 2018 F150 platinum FX4 with the 3.5ecoBOOST last month, went on a road trip from Houston to Dallas last weekend and averaged 20mpg for the whole trip. I was hoping for 21-22, but DAMN I love the 36gallon tank. I left Houston with a full tank and made it back home(while driving around 125 miles in Dallas) with gas to spare. One of these days I’ll try hyper-mileing the truck.

Going on the interstate seems to just murder my stats. Aerodynamic drag takes over north of 70, and I’m not willing to go 62 on the unpatrolled areas near us. Towing is also a big loss, though surprisingly it still did really well even with a literal ton of bunnyshit in the bed.
Because Jawzxx drives the truck just like he rolls his FieSTa, the overall lifetime average is 21.4 right now. If prices go much above $3 I won’t let him drive it anymore.

In support of your statement of economy loss over 60MPH:
(ignore the “Jaguar”part, the curves apply, even if the numbers don;t align perfectly)
